DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS FOR US?
At the end of job interviews, recruiters usually ask, "Do You Have Any Questions for Us"? Most candidates typically say: "No, Thank you, I don’t have any questions. You already answered everything during the interview". That is a mistake and not a smart thing to do. The quality of the questions you ask shows how intelligent you are, and the answers you will get will help you decide if the job will be a good fit for you.

Let's get started; Recruiters don't automatically provide you with all the details about a vacancy. You will have to be proactive and ask the right questions to evaluate if the opportunity is worth pursuing. When you get approached for a job, here are questions to ask;
1. Is it a new position, or are they replacing someone?
2. How long has the vacancy been open? If it's over 8 months, this could be a red flag. People may be rejecting the offers, or the line manager is fussy and unrealistic with his expectations.
3. How quickly do they want to fill the role?
4. What are the recruitment steps, and how long do they anticipate each step to take?
5. What does the ideal candidate look like?
6. What is the structure of the department? This gives you an idea of how your career may progress or where the role sits in the hierarchy.
7. Is there anything in particular about my CV that stood out? The question provides an idea of your competitive advantage.
8. How do you see the company evolving over the next five years? This shows the interviewer that you are planning to work for them for a long term, and you are interested in how the company will move forward and evolve.
9. What can I do in this role to help you achieve your vision? This shows you are not just interested in the paycheck, and you are showing genuine concern about assisting them to achieve success.
10. What is the culture like within the organisation? You surely don't want to sign up for a toxic work environment. This question will help you to understand what the work environment is like.
If a recruiter can't provide answers to most of these questions, it may indicate they're trying to sell you a role they've not researched or understood well.
